The Western District has set a tentative date of Wednesday, April 22, 2009 for their spring meeting. The location will probably be at the West Tennessee REC in Jackson.

Jane H. Connell, Western District vice president, has discussed meeting plans with district Extension personnel and is working on program ideas. She also would welcome suggestions and volunteers to assist with the meeting.

Members of the state FUTIAWA executive committee are planning to meet with Jane and area retirees at the Western Extension mini-conference on November 5.

Retiree attendance at Western District meetings has been on the upswing in recent years but there are great opportunities for more interaction and support of association activities.
