NEW UTIA EMPLOYEES

UTIA EMPLOYMENT CHANGES
Dr. George Smith, professor, Agricultural Economics Department, has been appointed Extension interim assistant dean, effective August 1, 2008. He will provide leadership for programs in agriculture, natural resources, and resource development, replacing Dr. Tim Cross, who begins his duties as Dean of Extension on August 1.

Dr. Eric C. Drumm, professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been appointed department head of Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science, effective August 1, 2008

Steve Sutton, Extension specialist, 4-H Youth Development, has been named Interim Director of 4-H Youth Development effective August 1, 2008.

FACULTY HONORS AND RECOGNITION
William Minser, research associate and instructor, Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries, has been honored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with a Southern Regional Director’s Conservation Award for his dedicated work in shaping TVA’s land management policy.
