College of Veterinary Medicine Campaign Goals
Campaign Goal: $43 Million
Total Funding Needs: $43 Million
The 21st century is seeing a demand for scientific solutions to complex issues associated with animal and human health, food safety, environmental protection, and safe-guarding society from agro- and bioterrorism. These issues, and the need for advanced scientific solutions for them, will drive changes in veterinary practicein the next 10 years that are more profound than the accumulated advances of the past 50 years.
To meet these challenges and fulfill its mission in teaching and treatment, public service, research, and academic standing, the College of Veterinary Medicine seeks to expand the capacity of key programs in its veterinary teaching hospital. Increased program capacity will position the college as one of the very top veterinary medicine colleges in the United States and attract a diversity of talented students and faculty, as well as heighten the college’s national and international reputation. All of these advances will deliver benefits to Tennesseans and the southeast region, through improved animal care, cutting-edge research, and the highest caliber veterinary medicine and public health practitioners.
