Graduate Student Award

Gamma Sigma Delta is accepting nominations for their Graduate Student
Award, an annual award presented at the Spring Reception/Business Meeting, Thursday, April 22, 2010. Plant BioTech 156-157 at 12:00 noon.

Selection criteria:

Recipient will have demonstrated significant creative and original accomplishments in either research, teaching, Extension. The nominee's cumulative GPA, service activities in the department and beyond, and their involvement in professional activities will be given strong consideration.

One Graduate Student Award may be given annually to a Ph.D. candidate and one Graduate Student Award may be given annually to a M.S. candidate. The Award(s) will be presented at the spring initiation meeting.

Nomination criteria:

Required materials include the graduate student’s resume/vitae and two letters of support; one from the student’s faculty advisor and one from another faculty member.

Please submit all nominations to the GSD Awards Committee, Office of the Dean, 125 Morgan Hall before the close of business on Thursday, April 8, 2010.
