(KNOXVILLE, Tenn.) – The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine will hold its annual open house Friday, March 23 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The open house will take place on the UT agricultural campus, located on Neyland Drive. Guests will tour exhibits featuring small animal medicine, large animal
medicine, community organizations, and pet rescue centers. Other scheduled
events include the bird show from the Knoxville Zoological Gardens, dog and
horse parade of breeds, canine physical therapy demonstration, a feline A stuffed animal first aid clinic, scheduled for Saturday only, will provide an opportunity for attendees to bring their “injured” stuffed animals for surgical repair by veterinary students. The events will take place in the veterinary teaching hospital, Brehm Arena, and Hollingsworth Auditorium on the agricultural campus. The veterinary open house is held each year to better acquaint the public with veterinary medicine and services provided at the College of Veterinary Medicine, which was established in 1974.
