Calling All Tobacco Growers

The Center for Tobacco Grower Research at the University of Tennessee seeks tobacco growers to participate in production surveys. Input needed ranges from information on acres in production, production techniques, and production challenges and concerns to marketing arrangements.

Participation is voluntary and individual responses will remain confidential.

To encourage tobacco growers to sign up, the center is offering participants a chance to win a laptop computer or a flat panel TV.

Registering is easy. Visit www.TobaccoGrowerResearch.com to register online. Or call 1-866-974-0414.

The UT Institute of Agriculture formed the CTGR to coordinate with other land grant universities in tobacco-producing states to conduct annual surveys and conduct research with current and former tobacco growers. The center is sponsored by Philip Morris USA, in cooperation with Philip Morris International Management SA.

Summary information from the center’s studies will be made available through research reports and your university Extension service.
