Robert Moncier, a Hawkins County agent who has been with UT Extension the past 14 years, is the 2004 award winner. Moncier is an expert in many areas of agriculture, but perhaps is best known for his hard work to keep beef producers profitable. He was instrumental in establishing the Hawkins County Cooperative Cattle Marketing Program a few years ago. The program strives for consistency and excellence in the quality of beef production and getting producers a good price for their cattle. Since its inception, its estimated this program has generated $175,000 in additional income for beef producers in Hawkins County.
