E.J. Chapman Outstanding Service Award

Award Description

This award was established by the late E.J. Chapman, who served the University of Tennessee in a wide range of capacities from agronomist to assistant vice president for agriculture, and recognizes a member of the supporting staff of the Teaching, Research or Extension divisions.

Citation

Beverly Robinson the 2005 award winner first came to the UT Ag campus as a young girl of twenty – and with a few years off for a move out of state – she’s served this Institute now for nearly 40 years.

Today she is the top administrative assistant to the Dean in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. In her many roles over the years, she has worked with administrators, faculty – and the 3 S’s -- staff, stakeholders and students.

And there’s no shortage of people who will gush about her abilities and her willingness to help anyone who needs it. Her colleagues talk often of her professionalism, efficiency and enthusiasm for her job. She smiles often, is known for her wonderful personality, and is always ready to share a life lesson or a laugh.
